tips on exploring any travel destination in 3 days or less

About

I’m Ally, a self-proclaimed travel junkie, based in the Philly suburbs with my husband Alex. My love of travel began when I left the U.S. for the first time at age 20 to study abroad for 5 months in Heidelberg, Germany. I love learning about other cultures and try to make my trips a healthy mix of seeing important tourist sites and finding off-the-beaten-path neighborhoods and places frequented by locals. I’m passionate about trying the local cuisines of the cities and countries I visit, so I also try to move as much as possible on my trips, be it walking instead of taking public transportation, or the occasional hike or kayak tour!

I work full-time as a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis which can be a pretty demanding job, so planning future trips to fill my 3 weeks of vacation time serves as my escape and gives me something to look forward to. Because of my time constraints, I try to fit in as much as possible in each trip, and have found 3 days to be the magic amount of time to spend in each city or destination in order to maximize what you’re able to see without feeling too rushed.

Follow me as I take you through my past adventures and write about my future trips!
